The compact substation, with a voltage of up to 1.14kV, is an electrical device designed for the connection and control of electrical drives of mining machines and equipment, including with the use of the soft-start process. The device can be installed in underground mine workings of non-methane and methane mines. The design of the device has been developed in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX).
The applied electroenergetic protections and the adopted system of control and cooperation with technological interlocks using intrinsically safe circuits allow safe cooperation with equipment supplying mining machinery. The device is adapted to connect a data transmission system enabling the reading of technological information and its transmission to the mine surface (e.g. to the dispatcher).
