The power supply and control unit for voltages up to 6.6kV is an electrical device designed for supplying, connecting and controlling electrical drives of mining machines and equipment, including with the use of the soft-starting process. The device can be installed in underground mine workings of non-methane and methane mines.
The applied electroenergetic protections and the adopted system of control and cooperation with technological interlocks using intrinsically safe circuits allow safe cooperation with equipment supplying mining machinery. The device is adapted to connect a data transmission system enabling the reading of technological information and its transmission to the mine surface (e.g. to the dispatcher).
