DESCRIPTION
CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES
The EH-P/17/13.01 CAN bus separator is a device designed for use outside explosion hazard zones and has intrinsically safe input circuits for group I, category M1, and group II, category 1, with safety level “ia.” The device is designed to separate intrinsically safe CAN buses from non-intrinsically safe CAN buses.
The device is powered by intrinsically safe voltage (intrinsically safe circuit power supply) and non-intrinsically safe voltage (non-intrinsically safe circuit power supply). The module is housed in a plastic enclosure with TS35 rail mounting. External circuits are connected at the edges via detachable connectors and a connector.
CONSTRUCTION AND DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION
The EH-P/17/13.01 CAN bus separator is enclosed in a plastic housing from the ME series (Phoenix Contact) with a width of 22.6 mm, which is snap-mounted on the TS35 mounting rail. There is an edge connector in the lower part of the housing. The device is powered by spark-proof voltage (spark-proof circuit power supply) and non-spark-proof voltage (non-spark-proof circuit power supply). The module is made of plastic with TS35 rail mounting.
External circuits are connected via detachable connectors and an edge connector.
The application diagram for the EH-P/17/13.01 CAN bus separator is shown in Fig. 001/1. The separator does not require configuration and operates independently of the transmission speed
and CAN protocol variants. The separator system operates in real time, also transmitting a confirmation bit or its absence (the system does not introduce a delay dependent on the frame length).
