Characteristics of the EH-SMartMine system
The HeadControl3D application is primarily used to trigger automatic cutting in roadheaders and to generate a trajectory of body movement based on the selected mining profile and to transmit the points of this trajectory to the PLC for cutting in automatic mode.
The application allows the operator to select the cutting profile and modify it. By analysing the trajectory points, the PLC controls the combine harvester’s arm and performs an automatic cut. In addition, the application presents the harvester in real time in a three-dimensional view.
